Credit Cards - Before you apply for a bunch of credit cards you should really learn how to use them to your advantage. Credit cards can really work both for you and against you.
Credit Cards
Learn to use, not abuse
No one plans to abuse their credit cards. No one wakes up and says, "Hey, I want to suffer from credit card debt." And still, it is all too common. Why? Because people don't know how to properly use their credit cards. People make very common mistakes and we are here to give you a crash course in how to use your credit cards.
First things first
First of all, when it comes to credit cards, one very mature and responsible piece of advice is to read all the fine print. Many folks toss letters that aren't bills directly into the trash. Bad idea! Sometimes there are offers you need to hear about. Special promotions you need to take advantage of. Increases in your APR or monthly minimums.
The bottom line is that you should always stay on top of all your financial matters and read all the fine print. You'd be surprised how quickly you can catch on when you really are paying attention.
And another thing, always be on the lookout for better deals. Look out for number one with credit cards that offer better premiums, rewards, and interest rates.
Be a smart spender
Perhaps the most effective piece of advice is to spend wisely. We know that it sounds a little silly and obvious, but too many people are living well beyond their means and suffering the consequences. Would you rather purchase more on your card and thrust yourself into a life of consolidating credit cards, or save a little and make the purchase later down the line when the opportunity is better? Yeah, we thought so too.
How would you rather deal with debt? Would you like to consolidate credit cards debts and start from the bottom up, or would you rather live within your means and avoid debt altogether? The decision is yours.
